Appeals
Appeals
The Appeals framework within ECSA is designed to ensure fairness, accountability, and transparency in administrative decision-making affecting Registered Persons. Governed by the structured provisions of the Engineering Profession Act, 46 of 2000, as amended. In line with this, ECSA manages and oversees matters in which individuals seek a review of decisions rendered by ECSA’s administrative decision-making bodies.
The appeals process provides individuals with a reliable, impartial mechanism to challenge decisions relating to registration, disciplinary outcomes, and decisions of the Council. Each appeal is evaluated thoroughly and independently, upholding principles of natural justice and procedural fairness. Outcomes and rationale of appeals decisions are documented and transparently communicated to reinforce accountability and trust in ECSA’s decision-making processes
