A Professional Engineering Technician (Pr Techni Eng) is a registered practitioner who applies well-established engineering principles and procedures to solve practical engineering problems, support engineering projects, and ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of systems and infrastructure. Pr Techni Engs typically work as part of engineering teams and contribute technical expertise in design, implementation, testing, and maintenance tasks.
To register as a Pr Techni Eng, an individual must demonstrate competence through:
Required Qualification

An accredited National Diploma or equivalent qualification.

 

 
Work Experience

Completion of relevant workplace experience.

 

 
Submission Documents

Submission of an Engineering Report detailing practical application of knowledge.

 
Training & Experience

Submission of Training and Experience Reports.
