A Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) is a person registered with ECSA who is licensed to independently practise engineering at a professional level. Pr Engs are responsible for complex engineering work that requires advanced analysis, critical problem-solving, innovation, and the application of scientific and mathematical principles to real-world challenges. They often lead teams, manage projects, and carry significant legal and ethical accountability for engineering outcomes.

Required Qualification

An accredited BEng or BSc (Eng) qualification or equivalent,

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Training Period

Completion of a structured period of practical training and professional development

Registration Process
