The Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) held its inaugural Annual General Meeting on 20 October 2022, bringing together council members, registered professionals, government representatives and voluntary associations. The ECSA Annual General Meeting focused on accountability and transparency regarding the organisation’s activities up to 31 March 2022.

ECSA President Refilwe Buthelezi told delegates that “ECSA is turning a corner and making great strides in transforming the way it works” through improved governance and stakeholder engagement. Leadership stressed the importance of visible, transparent governance and strengthened stakeholder collaboration through the resurrected VA Presidents Forum.
