As part of the Engineering Council of South Africa’s (ECSA) commitment to digital transformation and enhanced regulatory compliance, we are excited to announce the transition from traditional paper-based registration certificates to dynamic digital certificates powered by PrivySeal, effective 07 August 2025.

What You Need to Know
From 07 August 2025:

No more physical certificates will be issued.
-
Paper-based certificates will remain valid only until 31 December 2025.

From 01 January 2026, only ECSA Digital Certificates powered by PrivySeal will serve as proof of registration.

To ensure your digital certificate and PrivySeal are issued correctly:

Log into the ECSA Self-Service Portal and ensure your contact and professional details are complete and up to date.

Your email address, mobile number, and personal information must be valid and correct.
Outdated or incorrect information will delay or prevent the issuance of your digital certificate and seal.
