The
Engineering Council of South Africa is excited to announce that the Seventh
Term Governing Council has officially taken office.
The
new Governing Council officially appointed on 02 April 2025 has formally
elected the President Mr TC Madikane, Pr. Eng and Vice President Ms Marcia
Maidi, Pr. Eng of the Governing Council, marking the beginning of a new chapter
for ECSA.
This
incoming Governing Council represents a diverse mix of Registered Persons,
government representatives, public members, Recognised Voluntary Associations,
and Higher Education Institutions.
Together,
they will provide strategic leadership and guidance over the next four years
(2025 to 2029), driving the advancement of the engineering profession and
safeguarding the public interest.
The
Governing Council takes over from the Sixth Term Council, which built a strong
governance foundation rooted in international best practices.
Their
legacy sets the stage for continued excellence and innovation in engineering
regulation.
Let
us take a moment to celebrate and congratulate our newly appointed Governing
Council Members for their commitment to the profession.
