LEGAL POSITION AND POLICY ON RE-REGISTRATION
Compared to the past, the new Engineering Profession Act, 2000 (Act No. 46 of 2000) makes a significant difference in the way in which a de-registered person gets back onto the Register.

The previous Act (section 15(6)) made it easy for persons to get back on the Register because they had the option of re-instating their Registration or following a simplified process of Re-Registration under the appropriate clauses of that Act.
