Marketing & Communications: Article ENGINEERING COUNCIL OF SOUTH AFRICA LAUNCHES THE NATIONAL ENGINEERING PLAN TASK FORCE
This team of experts will be responsible for drawing up a National Engineering Plan focusing on finding solutions to crises across all engineering sectors, ultimately promoting economic growth and sustainable development in South Africa.
On Tuesday, 6 May 2008, ECSA held a National Crisis Workshop, attended by various role players in the industry. This workshop focused on various issues such as the electricity crisis, water and waste management, roads infrastructure, telecommunications, global warming and the skills crisis.
This workshop was attended by major role players in the industry and it was clear that a well-informed industry body, advised by experts, is needed to advise across all disciplines in order to facilitate positive outcomes for the engineering crisis. The National Engineering Plan Task Force will act as an action group to facilitate problem solving and actively enforce effective solutions.
The Task Force will be announced at a cocktail function:
Date : 8 May 2008
Should you wish to attend the launch, please RSVP on or before 7 May 2008 to Madeleine Goss on 079 541 8223 or email madeleine@ecsa.co.za |
